Orthopedic Surgery Department

The Orthopedic Surgery Department of Cosmoclinic provides high-level diagnosis and surgical treatment services for orthopedic conditions, with an emphasis on safety, precision, and the fastest possible recovery of the patient. The medical staff of the Department consists of experienced and specialized orthopedic surgeons, with extensive prior experience in the public and private sectors, as well as continuous training in modern techniques and international protocols.

Our goal is the immediate restoration of functionality, the relief of the patient from pain, and their return to daily activities with the least possible burden on the body.

In cases where indicated, minimally invasive techniques are applied, which contribute to the reduction of postoperative pain, hospitalization time, and faster functional recovery.

The Orthopedic Surgery Department works closely with the other departments of Cosmoclinic, ensuring a comprehensive therapeutic approach to each patient's health problem.

Services

The Orthopedic Surgery Department covers the entire spectrum of orthopedic surgery, including:

  • Arthroscopic surgery, specifically on the knee and shoulder joints, for the diagnosis and treatment of both sports injuries and chronic degenerative or traumatic conditions. Indications include ruptures of ligaments, menisci, and tendons, as well as damage to the articular cartilage.

  • Hip, knee, and shoulder arthroplasty, for the replacement of worn or damaged joints with artificial implants, in cases of severe arthritis or extensive destruction of articular surfaces. These procedures aim to reduce pain and restore mobility.

  • Computer-Assisted Surgery (CAS), using specialized computer systems that allow for high precision in the execution of the surgery.

  • Hand microsurgery, for the specialized treatment of conditions such as Dupuytren's contracture, carpal tunnel syndrome, trigger finger, as well as other tenosynovitis and compression syndromes of the area.

  • Restoration of congenital or acquired deformities of the musculoskeletal system.
