Vascular Triplex

Vascular Triplex is a specialized, non-invasive imaging method used to evaluate blood flow in the body's arteries and veins. It combines two-dimensional ultrasound, doppler and color flow imaging, providing valuable information regarding both the anatomy and the functionality of the vessels.

Indications

The Triplex is indicated for the diagnosis and monitoring of:

  • vessel stenosis or occlusion

  • varicose veins and venous insufficiency

  • aneurysms (e.g., abdominal aorta)

  • thrombosis (deep vein or superficial)

  • preoperative and postoperative vascular assessment

  • vascular complications in patients with diabetes mellitus

  • Triplex of abdominal aorta and iliac arteries

  • Triplex of arteries and veins of the upper and lower extremities

Patient Preparation Instructions

  • Triplex of Abdominal Aorta, Iliac and Renal Arteries

    • you must fast for at least 8 hours before the examination

    • only water consumption is permitted

    • the previous day, avoid legumes, vegetables, fruits, dairy products and carbonated drinks

    • you may consume bread, meat, fish, rice and pasta
