Menopause Check-up

Price 30€

Menopause is a natural stage in a woman’s life that marks the permanent end of menstruation as a result of the gradual decline in ovarian function. It typically occurs between the ages of 45 and 55 and is confirmed after 12 consecutive months without a menstrual period, provided there is no other underlying cause. Changes in the menstrual cycle and the first symptoms may begin several years earlier, during the transitional stage known as perimenopause. Menopause may also occur earlier or be induced by other factors, such as surgical removal of the ovaries or certain medical treatments.

After menopause, monitoring factors associated with cardiovascular and metabolic health, as well as bone health, is an important part of preventive healthcare.

The Menopause Check-up is designed for women who have reached menopause. It brings together key laboratory tests that provide a broader overview of general health and can help identify factors that may require further assessment or monitoring.

The Menopause Check-up includes the following tests:

  • Full Blood Count (FBC)

  • Fasting Blood Glucose

  • Glycated Haemoglobin (HbA1c)

  • Total Cholesterol

  • HDL Cholesterol

  • LDL Cholesterol

  • Triglycerides

  • Vitamin D (25-OH)

  • Serum Calcium (Ca)
